Florence Pugh’s garlicky crostini

There was no better way to kick off the new year than indulging in Florence Pugh’s garlic crostini recipe that she shared in January with Vogue. The video reveals that Pugh’s father is actually a professional cook. In addition, her mother and grandmother love cooking, so naturally, the Oscar-nominated actress followed suit. While putting together a simple recipe for garlic crostini, Pugh also shared that cooking a meal for herself is a way of returning to who she is after playing an intense character on film. Some of her hot tips for making crostini include: taking advantage of stale bread (since it will be slowly crisped in the oven anyway), choosing tomatoes on the vine and adding anchovies (if that’s your thing).

Gigi Hadid’s spicy vodka pasta

Although it reached its height in popularity during the initial COVID-19 lockdowns, it would appear that Gigi Hadid’s spicy vodka pasta dish is still making its way into the hearts and kitchens of fans. Hadid is no stranger to posting her favourite recipes to platforms such as TikTok and Instagram — including monkey bread, focaccia, and many baked desserts — but the spicy vodka pasta dish grabbed viewers’ attention the most and immediately became a viral sensation. And while the dish requires some specific ingredients (vodka, obviously), most are items you’ll already have stored away in your fridge or pantry, making it an easy pick for a weekly dinner staple in your home.

Bella Hadid’s prosciutto pasta

Of course, you can’t leave it to one sister to have all of the internet’s attention, which is why it’s no shock to us that Bella Hadid followed in her older sister’s footsteps with a trending pasta recipe of her own. It may sound simple at first, but Hadid’s prosciutto pasta includes a few key ingredients to help amp up the flavours of this enticing dish. The call for fried prosciutto, pine nuts and parmesan cheese may sound heavy, but thanks to some user reviews, we’ve learned that adding a veggie (such as spinach or bell pepper) and squeezing a bit of lemon juice on top can cut some of the savouriness.

Olivia Wilde’s salad dressing

Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis may have thought they were in the clear of public drama at the end of 2022, but their former nanny made things worse when she shared several intimate details about the couple with tabloids, including a silly dispute between Sudeikis and Wilde over her allegedly making her “special salad dressing” for Harry Styles. People online immediately began speculating about the dressings origin, and it wasn’t long before Wilde gave them exactly what they wanted. Handling it like a pro, she posted a page from Nora Ephron’s 1983 novel, Heartburn — a story about a brutal divorce that also included a special vinaigrette recipe — leaving everyone to read between the lines… literally.

Lizzo’s cheesy Takis

Four-time Grammy winner Lizzo has been vegan since 2020 after previously following a vegetarian diet for more than seven years. After getting familiar with vegan ingredients, Lizzo discovered the perfect combo of items to create a “cheesy” sauce for the popular Takis chip. The singer was upfront in her TikTok video, stating she didn’t have an exact recipe, but included all the necessary kitchen fare to get you there. All it takes is adding Japanese yam, tofu, onion, garlic, nutritional yeast, salt and pepper and habanero sauce to a blender. Some unique add-ons include Kelly’s Gourmet Cheezy Parm and a vegan smoked gouda from the brand Follow Your Heart to thicken up the texture and take it to the finish line.

Hailey Bieber’s smoothie

If you don’t have access to an Erewhon Market location or can’t spare $20 on Hailey Bieber’s Strawberry Glaze Smoothie collab — don’t stress! An at-home version is only a few short clicks away. After selling 36,000 of the Erewhon specialty drink, fans of Bieber and the luxury smoothie brand were hungry enough to determine what ingredients make it so special, while saving some cash in the long run. While some elements, such as Neocell hyaluronic acid, sea moss gel and Vital Proteins vanilla collagen peptides, could be tricky to track down, the bulk of the recipe includes at-home staples like almond milk, frozen strawberries, dates, maple syrup and stevia.

Taylor Swift’s chai sugar cookies

Yes, the holiday-themed chai sugar cookies that sent Swifties into a frenzy years ago is still making the rounds online. Taylor Swift loves to share her favourite dishes with fans, and her love for these baked goods feels like an attainable recipe for even the most basic bakers out there. Most of the ingredients the recipe calls for could already be in your pantry, including granulated and powdered sugar, all-purpose flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon… you get the picture. The shining star of this sugar cookie recipe, though, is the chai tea bag, which Swift suggests you cut open so you can toss the tea leaves directly into the batter after mixing in the main ingredients. Eggnog might not be available year-round for the frosting, but you can get creative with any substitute that curbs your appetite.

Jennifer Aniston’s ‘Friends’ salad

Jennifer Aniston’s viral Friends salad is an oldie but a goodie that continues to make the ranks on foodie must-try lists. The protein-packed recipe that went viral on TikTok highlighted a tasty combo of quinoa, chickpeas, pistachios, feta, veggies and herbs. However, in 2022, Aniston confessed to Cosmopolitan that while she appreciates the love for the salad, she felt guilty admitting that she didn’t actually eat that salad on set. She stated that while the popular recipe looks tasty, a salad that calls for that many chickpeas isn’t good for her digestive system. So, if you’re considering giving it a go, you always swap out the chickpeas for something lighter on the tummy.

Emma D’Arcy’s negroni sbagliato

Another celeb recommendation that went viral in 2022 was a cocktail shared by House of the Dragon breakout star, Emma D’Arcy. Posting to their TikTok during the promotion of the hit prequel to Games of Thrones, D’Arcy shared a negroni sbagliato with Prosecco and immediately caught the attention of more than 25 million viewers. After going viral, many folks recreated the cocktail at home, beginning with a negroni made with Campari and sweet vermouth — but no gin! The sbagliato comes into effect by adding sparkling wine instead of gin, to which D’Arcy has gone on record to state they prefer to use Prosecco in their concoction.

Beyoncé’s kale and seaweed salad

We couldn’t wrap up this celeb-inspired food list without adding a dish from the queen of them all — Beyoncé. After she and her husband Jay-Z took on a vegan cleanse in 2022, Bey’s Instagram became the backdrop for all their favourite recipes. When they weren’t busy cooking vegan, they hit up popular vegan restaurants, and a kale and seaweed salad soon made the rounds as one of the couple’s faves. Chef Dreux Ellis of Café Gratitude in L.A. shared the recipe with PEOPLE, and it has everything one needs to kick off the beginning of a cleanse while still enjoying what’s in front of you.
